Forgetting the root or administrator password of your server can be stressful, but with WebGee Cloud Console, you can easily reset it in just a few steps. Whether you’re managing a Linux-based VPS or a Windows server, the process is straightforward.
Follow this step-by-step guide to reset your password directly from the WebGee Console.
Step 1: Login to WebGee Cloud Console
You can access the console in two ways:
-
Directly via console.webgee.cloud
-
Or through the Client Area > Select your server > Click on Login to Cloud Console

Once logged in, you’ll land on your Dashboard where you can see your account information, recent servers, and resource usage.
Click on the Manage button next to the server you want to reset the password for.

Step 2: Go to the Options Tab

Inside the server management page, navigate to the Options tab.
From here, select the Password section. You’ll see a button labeled Reset Password — click on it.
Step 3: Reset the Password

A pop-up will appear asking you to select the user for which you want to reset the password.
-
Select root if it’s a Linux-based server
-
Select Administrator if it’s a Windows server
After confirming, click Reset.
Step 4: Receive New Password
Once the reset is successful, the new password will be sent to your account email address. Use this password to log in to your server.
⚠️ Important Note:
If the QEMU guest agent is not installed on your server, this operation may fail. Make sure it is installed for a smooth reset process. Also, the server must be running for the reset to work.
